AskMe Corporation Honored at 2002 Venture All Stars
AskMe Corporation, the world-leading provider of Knowledge Network software solutions, has been honored for a second consecutive year at the third annual 2002 Venture All Stars awards held on September 27th at the Seahawks Stadium.
The Venture All Star awards program, which was sponsored by The Investment Forum and the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, recognized the most promising new technology companies in the Pacific Northwest. Finalists included businesses that exhibit significant organizational growth and are demonstrating the ability to follow in the footsteps of some of the most successful companies, such as Microsoft, Starbucks, Costco, Amazon.com and Immunex.
According to Brian Conte, chair of the 2002 Venture All Stars selection committee, "This year we had more quality company nominations than ever before - providing us with a solid pool of candidates to review. The Venture All Stars event recognizes the best of the best and highlights the value these companies bring to the Pacific Northwest economy."
According to Udai Shekawat, CEO of AskMe Corporation, "We are extremely pleased to be honored with the Venture All Stars award for the second year in a row. A selection committee that was comprised of 40 venture capital organizations, private equity analysts including venture capitals, angel investors and successful entrepreneurs chose the Top 25 companies from more than 200 nominations. In order to be selected, these companies had to meet multiple business and funding criteria indicative of future success including strong management and financial backing.
