Overview
Anyone who has created and maintained user profiles knows that it is virtually impossible to update it on an ongoing basis. The Auto-profiling technology provides an innovative solution to keep profiles automatically updated based on documents and knowledge articles authored by the user. The Auto-Profiling engine scans documents and knowledge articles authored by a user to extract expertise keywords and phrases from it. It then maps these keywords over time and frequency to suggest the best keywords or phrases relevant to the user profile at regular intervals. The system provides options which enable user to choose either to automatically update profiles or have a review process prior to updating profiles. The core technology leverages several years of research in mathematical modeling, linguistics, and computer learning. The auto-profiling engine has built in connectors to file shares, Microsoft SharePoint, Lotus databases and other commonly used document repositories.
This product can be used either in a standalone implementation or in conjunction with AskMe Enterprise or AskMe for SharePoint. |
