Homeland Security Coalition Formed to Address National and Commercial Security Concerns

BELLEVUE, January 15, 2002 - Leading technology firms from across the nation have joined forces to form the Homeland Security Coalition to help government and commercial organizations provide secure environments for their agencies, constituents and customers. Charter members of the Coalition include AskMe Corporation, Fingerprint USA, KSolutions and TrustWave.

Working as a team, the members of the Homeland Security Coalition support more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500 and provide products and/or services to more than 37,000 organizations in both the private and public sector.

The objective of the Coalition is to help organizations "find and fix" their security vulnerabilities before they become liabilities. The process includes helping organizations first identify security vulnerabilities, assess and manage operations risk, and then develop, validate, and apply cost-effective management and technical solutions.

"Clearly, every organization should quickly address their specific security needs and deploy solutions to meet their security challenges," said Joe M. Allbaugh, Director of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in response to the formation of the Coalition.

Acting as a partnership with customization capabilities, the Coalition assesses each client's needs and offers a cohesive solution comprised of offerings from appropriate coalition vendors. This results in faster planning and implementation for the client, and eliminates the need to deal with multiple vendors to solve each security need.

Each Coalition member offers unparalleled capabilities that provide their clients a seamless, collaborative environment for enabling value-added security solution opportunities. Furthermore, their engineering, analysis, and technology products and services can be easily tailored to accommodate state-of-the-art business practices, evolutionary systems development and modernization approaches, and "over-the-horizon" systems management techniques that are being used by many government and industry decision-makers.
